    Hello Ernessa,
I must say that this book was great!!!!!! I couldn’t put it down at all. I loved everything about Davie and going through this journey with her was amazing. I wish you nothing but the best with your upcoming books. I am soooo happy that I got to read your first book 🙂

I thoroughly and completely enjoyed your novel – it was fun, funny, on point about that whole first love/psycho/crazy time and I was sad when it ended since that meant my time with your characters ended too! I wish you HUGE success and can’t wait for your future work. 🙂
    Bravo!

Awesome job! I am an English writing major and in the slow and painful process of hashing out my first novel so believe me when I say I know how difficult writing a good book can be. You hit the nail on the head!! The story was clever, the characters smart, the plotting insightful, and the ending adorable. It was easy to read but still managed to have the skill and substance necessary to keep it from the folly of other books I’ve read in this genre. I am so proud of you and inspired!! I will definitely be looking for your next novel! Keep up the good work!!

Your book was so enjoyable! It was fresh and fun…it was happy and sad. I love the 16 candles references and how you tied it all together. Best of luck to you.

Thank you so much, SLG. That mean a lot coming from a fellow English major. Best of luck with your novel!

  15. […] When I really want my hair to pop, I wear a blowout afro. I split my hair into six sections. Apply both glycerin and almond oil, do most of the comb-out work on the cool setting, then only use heat for about 30 seconds toward the end. But I only do this for special-special occasions. The last time I did it was at Easter. And I won’t do it again until my first book signing this Monday in LA. […]
